Sergio Monteagudo-Post 1
In this post I will write about the experience I had after watching and listening group 1(which presented chapter number 3), group 2(which presented chapter number 9), and my teammates of group 3(which presented chapter number 10). The reference book that the class had to use to present is known as Comm6 Speech Communication from Deanna D. Sellnow, Kathleen, Verderber, Rudolph F. Verderber in which everyone had to cooperate by choosing their own part of the chapter or share it together to bring a summarized presentation for the audience to observe.
The first group worked on presenting the chapter known as Intercultural Communication. They talked about the effect and interaction of different cultures between people. The students that presented tried to explain and give examples of each and every theme that was introduced throughout the chapter with the culture and communication, the cultural knowledge, the difference each one gets to have, the develop of intercultural communication with each other. Their way to describe was going at a slow pace so they can bring enough information from their project. Something that impacted me(if I am not mistaking the group) was about a student that could not go to the school to present it, but prepared a video of him presenting it so he receives the credit even if the student were not able to appear that day in person.
The second group talked about the theme of Communicating in Groups. Their presenting was about groups and their overwhelming difference that each one can have. They talked about each and every type of group it was shown in the chapter while also giving some examples about them, some of them had a funny example for using TV series that most had watched. Later, they kept talking about the characteristics of the healthy groups and how they are good, all the stages of the development in groups, and the conflict that they are able to bring. What mostly surprised me was the use of reference and examples they brought to their presentation while at the same time their presenting effect was "being biased to the right" from starting mid presentation to the end of it so to speak and it is understandable since no one is perfect nor the same.
Last but not least, the third group, which I am in there, presented about the Group Leadership and Problem Solving. Our chapter was mostly like a guide of improving groups. It started with the types of roles that a leadership can bring while at the same time the student that presented that part gave several examples and some personal experience with and amazing speech, acting almost like a carry for the team. While the presentation continued some the team were unfortunately missing the class that they so others in the team decided to give it a try and present it for them so they receive some of the credit. During my part, I tried my best to present it the best way as I can, but has always, I struggle with my nervousness and feel a cut-off in blank sometimes. At least I personally feel that I did something fine and I've been improving bit by bit. Otherwise, I think that my team did great presenting.
Presenting a project is something that almost all students had experienced at least once in their life. In my case it is not the first time that I have done one like I said. Most of them presented with a nice use of slides and decent speech while others might have been a bit nervous while presenting it, but that is something common. Communication has become something that needs to be more noticeable nowadays since technology has been tying us up to a different direction, and is not always a positive one. That is why experiencing, watching, and listening are thing that need to be used more often when communicating to others.

Great! Really nice reflection! Well written!
